airport to hotel in shanghai

Question

Hello, I know I can take Maglev train to Longyang RD then take line 2 to people square and maybe walk to YMCA hotel. I am not sure how to get to line 2 from maglev train? Which exit do I take from people square to hotel? Is it walkable? Also I am meeting up with a friend at the airport. What would be a good meeting spot at the airport since we might not have cellphone service?

First of all, your route is not right. You need to take SMT and transfer to Metro Line 2 at Longyang Rd, after that, another transfer to Line 8 at People’s Square is needed. Then get off at Dashijie from Exit 1, you will see your hotel.When you get off the SMT at Longyang Rd, you will see the same station of line 2. As for places where to meet up with your friend, you need to check out his flight and then wait at the Arrival Exit of the flight.
