About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from Toronto to Kuala Lumpur 14 hours layover in Shanghai.

Can i book hotel and leave airport to sleep during that layover time. Am I able to apply for a free transit? Thanks.

Yong, Malaysia passport holders cannot apply for a free transit policy in mainland China, so you are advised to apply for a visa for that beforehand.
