Transit visa in Shanghai

Hi, I am doing the following journey

London > Hong Kong 1 night > Shanghai 2 nights > London

Does the 72 hour free transit apply here?

Also, what are the specific requirements for the proof of onward journey? Does it literally need to have a seat number allocated? Or just confirmation of booking and seat allocated upon check in?

Thank you in advance!

Hi, London > Hong Kong > Shanghai > London will be fine for the 72 hr free transit. You just need a confirmed booking with a ticket number. You don't need a seat allocation. Nice trip!
