About:China Visa Exemption

Cruise ship arrives for Beijing stays less than 24 hours, sails to Shanghai , stays less than 24

We are arriving in port for Beijing and the stay is less than 24 hours. Ship continued to Shanghai and stays less than 24 hours. Next port of call is in Japan.
Will the visa free transit apply?

Harley, as your total layover time in mainland China is more than 24 hours, you are not able to use the free transit policy. You need to apply for a visa for that in advance.
