We are only wanting to see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Where is the best location you recommend we stay at? We want to stay somewhere in between.

Well, you are advised to stay at a hotel nearby the Deshengmen Bus Stop. The surrounding transportation is quite convenient. The distance to Forbidden City is only around 5 kilometers. And from Deshengmen Bus Stop, you can take direct bus no.877 to Badaling Great Wall. Have a nice journey!
