11 hours layover at pek airport

Question

Hi, I am flying from JFK to KHI via PEK on a US Passport. Do I need a transit visa if I like to go out of PEK Airport during 11 hours layover ?

Hi, Manzoor, you don’t need it because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in PEK. You need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport to explore the city. Nice trip!
