About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can Indonesia citizen get transit without visa for 24 hours in Shanghai?

Hello... I am Indonesia citizen. I want to travel to US with my family. If we back to Indonesia from San Fransisco and transit in Shanghai for 23 hours, can we get transit without visa for 24hours? So I and my family can spend the night in hotel near airport.

Hilda, yes, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai if you travel like that. After arrival at the airport, you just need to apply for a temporary stay permit and then you can go out to stay at a hotel.
