entry visa for 72 hours in shanghai

My husband and I are cruising from Shanghai to Sydney. We are staying in Shanghai for 3 nights before cruising. Do we need a visa?Thank youTina

Tina, you can enjoy 144 hr free transit in Shanghai if the last country you come from before entering Shanghai is not Australia. Nice trip!
