About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing 24h

Hello,
I'm from Italy.
I'll be arriving in Beijing from London and will stay less than 24h then go to Melbourne.
Do I even need to apply for a visa ? Or usually it will be done at the airport ?

Hi, you don’t need it because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing if you travel like that and it will be done at the airport. Nice trip!

No. Just apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport, then you can leave there to explore the city.
