Beijing 72hr layover

Hi,

I'm sure that this has been answered but I can't tell 100% - it'd be a costly mistake if so.

My travel route is from Indonesia to Beijing, then (as a totally seperate and unconnected flight) from Beijing to London. There is less than 72 hours between my flight landing in Beijing and then my next flight leaving Beijing, but because they aren't technically 1 flight I wasn't sure whether it's acceptable for the 72-hour visa?

Could you please clear this up for me?
