24-hour transit visa for indian passport

Question

Hi,Request your guidance on on 24hr direct transit query.  I have an Indian passport and have a multi-city round trip planned from US to Shanghai to Delhi.  I was only granted single entry China business M and will use the single entry on the first leg of journey . I plan to fly from US to PVG and then stay for 2-3 days in Shanghai before heading to Delhi. After 2 weeks in Delhi , my return flight has a 9hr layover at PVG before next flight to US. Will I still be eligible for 24 hr direct transit, considering I used a single entry visa only  2 weeks before? I am traveling with a 3yr old so will like to get 24 hr direct transit and check-in at a nearby hotel before next flight. Thanks for your help !

Hi, you are eligible for 24 hr direct transit for the 9hr layover at PVG. You can apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport. Afterwards, you can leave the airport to stay at the hotel. Nice trip!
