About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Getting a visa in New Zealand for UK citizen

I am aware the 144 hour free transit for Guangzhou has not been agreed yet, I am a UK citizen and setting off travelling in January 2018 and expect to be transiting in Guangzhou for 5 days in April 2018, I will arrive in China from New Zealand and will be leaving China for France. I am trying to leave a decision to get a full entry permit as late as possible due to the cost and also to see if the 144 hours is ratified. I cannot reduce the time I spend in China to fit in with the 72 hour regulation. If the decision has not been made in March 2018 (144 hours) is there anything to stop me applying for a full entry permit from the Chinese consulate in New Zealand in March? I notice the Wellington consulate deals with applications from non-NZ citizens and the cost for those people to get a visa is considerably less than it would be in the UK, any thoughts.... ???

Hi, maybe you can apply for a 2-year one which costs the same as single-entry one. The 2-year one will allow you to enter and exit China for multiple times within 2 years. It will be preferable. Or you can try to find an agency to help you make the application from other places. Good luck!
