I am flying from the UK to Beijing for 3 nights, then fly to Shanghai for 1 night, then take a 14 day cruise, do I need to get a visa or not?

Yes, Denise, you need it because you cannot make use of free transit in Beijing and Shanghai.

I thought that as I was taking a cruise it would be classed as transit, but then they added on the 3 nights in Beijing! Thanks anyway
