How much time does it take from arriving at PVG, getting checked luggage and through customs?

I have a 22hr layover at PVG and have booked at hotel nearby with shuttle service. They require a reservation and pick up every 2hrs. I am wondering how long it would approx. take to exit the plane, clear customs, retrieve my luggage and get to terminal 1 gate 9. I am flying China Eastern Airlines.
