About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

I was told that Sims cards in China defer from state to state( provinces to provinces).

So do I have to get one in each province I go? Like Beijing, Xian, Chengdu

No, as I know, you don't need to get a new SIM CARD for each new city. You can purchase one first and then tell the staff that you wanna use this card in other cities in China. He or she will open some service for this card. After that, you can use the same SIM CARD during your whole trip in China. :)
