About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Seperate tickets

I have a flight from Manila to Beijing and then a seperate ticket with a different airline from Beijing to Copehnagen. Is the 72h free transit ok if my connecting flight is on a different airline with a separate ticket? The connection is after only 4 hours. My passport is UK passport. Thanks

Separate tickets and different carriers are fine. You don't need 72 hrs visa-free transit; you only need 24 hrs direct transit.

thanks Rob. As they are separate tickets, I would probably need to clear immigration and collect my luggage, before re-checking it. So I am guessing I cant direct transit, but if the 72h transit is ok for separate tickets then I should be good. thanks!

Your passport will be stamped for 24 hours, not 72.
