About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Want to either fly from Singapore to Shanghai then to Beijing and back to Singapore

I want to either fly from Singapore to Shanghai then to Beijing and back to Singapore
Is this possible on a free transit for 72 hours?

I also hold a ticket London-Singapore- London and then want to add on this trip Singapore-Shanghai or Beijing - back to Singapore and then fly to London.

On an Irish passport, do I then qualify for this visa-free transit of 72 hours because I can show I have a ticket from Singapore back to London?

Thanks

Hi, you cannot make use of the 72 hour free transit because Singapore-Shanghai or Beijing-Singapore isn't a transit at all.

Thanks Marco, I was advised by a travel agent this is possible but I have been to China before and I have never heard of this.
