resident permit extension for a short time

Hi, I have Resident Permit (RP). I got this PR with S1 type. now My RP expiration date is one month sooner than my wife's. She need to apply for the new work permit card and it takes at least one month. Her RP expire on Dec first. My PR will expire on Nov first. Is there anyway that I can extend my RP for a short time (maybe two weeks)? so after my wife gets her work permit we apply together for one year RP.

Usually one month is needed to extend the residence permit. You are advised to inquire the local PSB to see if you and your wife can apply together for one year RP.
