About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will this work with stand-by tickets?

I will fly from Amsterdam to Shanghai and after 3 days go on to ICN. All on stand-by tickets (staff), so there might be no confirmed seats in advance. Will this really be a problem for the visa? I know you technically already said that but I feel like maybe this might be an exception? Thanks

There are NO exception and your airline will be fined for not complying with document checks. At the immigration counter they do input your ticket number to see if you are on standby tickets.

Hi John, thank you for your reply. Before posting here I already asked my airline about the same and the reply I just got back from them is that the rules are same as all other passengers, as long as the route is correct and I will not divert from that. May I ask what your source is? Thanks again
