About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hours and twenty minutes

My flight from BUC to BJS arrives at 9:50 am. Three days later I would like to take a flight departing BJS to BOS that departs at 10:10 am. That puts me in Beijing for 72 hours and 20 minutes. Will this be okay?

No it will not be ok. You will be denied boarding at your origin, because Beijing measures the 72 hours from scheduled arrival time to scheduled departure time. Get a visa or change your flight.
