From where can I board the hop on hop off bus? I will be staying at regal jinfeng hotel.Does the bus accept USD/ Credit card or it has to be local currency?

The closest can be Jin Mao Tower. You can take a taxi there to get on the bus. Or walk to Xinjinqiao Road Jinxiang Road, and take Shangchuan Special Line. Get off at East Lujiazui Road South Pudong Road. Then walk there to catch the bus. They only accecpt Chinese Renminbi by the way.
