I am a US citizen and am planning to visit Guangzhou for 72 hours. Do I need a visa?

If you will fly from USA - Baiyun Airport - the third country/are, you can enjoy the 72h visa free transit. Then you can enjoy the three days. If u will take the round trip, I am afraid you have to apply for a L visa in advance.
