About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Saigon to Hangzhou to Guangzhou (2hours transit) to Sydney . would it qualify?

Hi, you cannot enjoy 144 hr free transit if you travel like that. But if your total layover time in mainland China is less than 24 hr, you can use 24 hr direct transit in China. No visa is required.
