About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US to China and Japan

My husband and I have booked a trip to China and Japan in December and I have a question regarding the visa requirements.

Our itinerary is as follows:

Depart LAX 12:30 on 12/08 > Arrive PVG 18:35 on 12/09

Depart PVG 17:25 on 12/10 > Arrive NRT 21:00 on 12/10

Depart NRT 13:45 on 12/13 > Arrive PVG 16:20 on 12/13

Depart PVG 20:25 on 12/14 > Arrive LAX 15:40 on 12/14

Are we eligible for the 72 hour free transit? My husband is a US citizen and I am a US permanent resident and Australian citizen.

You should be granted 24 hours direct transit on your first entry to China, and 144 hours on your second.
