visa category

Hi. I have a Chinese boyfriend and he wants to bring me in China to visit his family. I would like to ask which visa category should I choose? is it necessary to submit an invitation letter for the application?

Hi, you can apply for a tourist L type for that. You don't have to submit an invitation letter for the application as long as you can show the accommodation arrangement and the return ticket and your travel itinerary.
