Residency permit still valid after z visa cancellation?

I was on a Work entry permit and laid off and the company is canceling it. Is my residency permit still valid so I can look for other work?

Chris, usually, your work Z visa and the residence permit are canceled by the company at the same time. You can call them to confirm that. If that is the case, you need to leave China at present.
