About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US to Singapore then cruise to Hong Kong then flight to Shanghai and back to the US

If we stay in Shanghai 4 nights would this itinerary qualify for the 144 hrs free transit Program ?

Thank you! Are there any restrictions on the expiration date of the passport? Our passports will expire three months after arrival.

Personally I don't think there will be any restrictions on the expiration date of the passport. Maybe you can check the information from Timatic, an IATA database which airlines use. Good luck.
