About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Are there any problems with flights starting in Turkey?

Hi! I will fly to Shanghai with a flight starting from Istanbul, will spend two days in Shanghai, and then fly to Hong Kong. I have an Italian passport, but I read that there have been problems with visa release to people whose passport had stamps issued in Turkey. Might be problems also as it concern free transit?
Thank you.

Hi, as far as I know, you can enjoy free transit in Shanghai under your Italian passport, and there is no need to get a visa for the trip. If you are still worried, you can contact your airline to confirm that. Good luck!
