bullet train from shanghai railway station to suzhouhangzhou

Question

I will be staying at Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Zhabei (near Shanghai Railway station).  I want to make a day trip to Suzhou and Hangzhou on different days.  Please advise whether there is a bullet train service from Shanghai Railway Station to Suzhou train station and Hangzhou train station.Also in Suzhou and Hangzhou is there a hop on and hop off tourist bus for sight seeing. If so where can I get on the bus.   Your feedback is appreciated.  Thank you.

Don’t worry, you can take a bullet train from Shanghai Station to both cities. It takes about 1h 30 minutes and CNY147.5 for a first class seat, CNY92.5 for a second to Hangzhou, and about 30 minutes, CNY59.5 for a first class seat, CNY39.5 for a second one to Suzhou.Although there are no hop-on and hop-off bus in Hangzhou, you can still take some tourist buses. As you arrive at Hangzhou Station, you can take Bus Y2 to travel around, and the bus covers many attractions of West Lake. As you arrive in Suzhou, you can take a taxi to The Humble Administrator's Garden, which is only 3km away and costs about CNY12. After that, you can take the tourist bus and travel around main attractions. Have a nice trip!
