About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

FRA - PEK - HGK

Hi,

i plan to fly from Frankfurt to Beijing and then to Hong Kong. I want to use the 72h Visa to Visit Beijing.

Question:

Schedule Arrival Beijing 23.12.17 06:40

When do i Have to leave Beijing 26.12. 06.39 or 27.12. 00:00?

Mark, you need to leave Beijing before 26.12.17 06:39.

are your sure? do you have a source for that?
i called air China Hotline they also 06:39, but they said call air China Airport Service and they ment no ist the 27.12. bevor 00:00...now i am not sure...:( everybody says something different

The source is Timatic:

Changsha (CSX), Chengdu (CTU), Chongqing (CKG), Dalian (DLC), Guangzhou (CAN), Qingdao (TAO), Tianjin (TSN), Wuhan (WUH), Xi'an (XIY) or Xiamen (XMN) for a max. transit time of 72 hours, starting from 00:01 on the day following the day of entry.
Beijing (PEK), Guilin (KWL), Harbin (HRB), Kunming (KMG), or Shenyang (SHE) for a max. transit time of 72 hours;

You risk being denied boarding in Frankfurt if the agent consults Timatic when you check in.
