About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

JFK-HGK (change planes)-Beijing Capital Airport-HGK

Family of four flying from JFK (NY) to PEK, via Hong Kong where we change planes and will only be in airport for 2 hours. We will be in BJ for 3 days, flying back to Hong Kong, where we will stay for a week.

Does our 2 hour stop in Hong Kong to change planes disqualify us for the 144 hour visa-free transit? I am thinking it does but hoping that I am wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

You need a visa because you are returning to where you flew in to Beijing from.
