About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arrive in Shanghai from Chicago on Nov 3, 2017. Take 5 day cruise, then fly to Hong Kong?

What is meant by 3rd region? We don't need a Visa for Hong Kong. Can we use this rule?

Thelma, the 144 hr free transit can cover the trip of Chicago-Shanghai(6 days)-Hong Kong. If you will travel like that, you can enjoy the policy then. Nice trip!
