About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Buying separate tickets Oslo-Guangzhou-VN

Hi,
I have bought separate tickets Oslo-Guangzhou, and Guangzhou-Vietnam. The time difference between the two flights in Guangzhou is about 5 hours. I am wondering do I need a transit visa. It seems that I have to enter to get the luggage and check in again.

Hi, you don’t need a transit G type for that because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou if you don't leave the transit airport during the 5 hours. Nice trip!
