visa requirements for cruise passengers

Question

I arrive in Beijing on 28 December 2017 stay one night before joining my cruise ship on 29 December 2017. Do I need an entry  permit ?

Ian, you don't need to apply for it if you will go to a third country or region different from the last one you come from after transiting in Beijing.
