should we visit dali in jan 2018?

..Hi...initially we were planning to visit the city after coming back from Lijiang...but we were informed that due to the pollution of Er Hai Lake and the closure of the said place for cleaning-up, it is best not to go there for now.... Is that true? Are there any other places that we should go to while heading back (from Lijiang) to Kunming? (we don't think it is possible for us to visit ShangriLa this time)..Please advise. Many thanks!

Well, you can still pay a visit there. Although there was a closure and visitors can’t stay near the lake, staying in the ancient town and having a ride tour to Er Hai Lake is also a good choice.
