About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Z visa cancellation

Hi guys, Im holding Z type and resident permit. My company has been breaking the contract and I would like to resign. That means they will cancel my work permit. However, I am wondering is my visa still valid until I find another job or I have to leave the mainland ? My type is valid until January 2018.

Your Z type will be invalid after they cancel your work permit. You can convert it into a tourist L type at the local PSB. If it can be done, you can stay and find another job in China. If you can get a job, try to convert your L type into a new work Z type to work in China then.
