About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Guangzhou - Anyone able to get a 24hour stay permit recently?

Hey all,

I read from one of the comments that immig officers no longer issue a 24hr stay permit in CAN. so if one wants to leave the airport during a layover, he must have a transit or tourist L for china.

Is this true? Has anyone tried to leave the airport without obtaining a visa in their home country?

TIA!

You cannot leave the airport while transiting in Guangzhou if your transit time is under 24 hours. You can ask them but I'm afraid they will not make an exception. Try to apply for a visa for that in advance.
