About:China Visa Exemption

US green card holder with a Philippine passport

Hi! I am a US green card holder with a Philippine passport and travelling to the philippines from New York, we have a 19 hour layover in Shanghai , do i need a visa to go out of the airport, thanks

Daisy, you don’t need it because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport.
