About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Germany - Seoul (via Peking) - Shanghai - Germany

My plan is, I would fly from Germany to Seoul (via 5 hr stopover in Peking), stay there for 9 days and then continue to Shanghai. There I would stay for 5 Days (less than 144 hours) before I fly back to Germany. It's that correct, I don't need a visa for Shanghai? Or is the 144 hr regulation not valid for travel to homeland?
Thank you so much!

There's no problem for that itinerary and you can use the 144-hour transit in Shanghai.

That sounds good! Is it really no problem for the free 144-hr transit in Shanghai, when I book the flight Seoul-Shanghai and Shanghai-Germany separately?

The separate flight tickets for Seoul-Shanghai and Shanghai-Germany will be fine for the 144 hr free transit policy. No need to worry!
