visa requirements for mainland china

Question

We are coming in to Shanghi sea Port at 04.30 hours one day and leave 17.30 hours the following day....... is an entry permit required for this? We then return several days later to exit out of Beijing Airport.... is an entry permit required for that as well? Thank you

Glynis, if you travel like country A-Shanghai-country B-Beijing (72 hours)-a different country rather than country B, you will be able to use the visa-free transit in Shanghai and Beijing. No need to apply for a visa then.
