About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need to get a VISA?

Hi there,

I am flying from KUALA LUMPUR to SHENZEN on a thursday, and then flying from SHENZEN to SHANGHAI on the Saturday and then from SHANGHAI to MANILA on the following Monday. I will be in China less than 144 hours. Do I need to get an entry permit for this? Or can I travel with free transit?

Thanks for your help!

If you have a normal Singaporean passport then you can stay in China for up to 15 days without a visa. If not, you will need a visa in advance, because free transit is not allowed at Shenzhen. Or else change your itinerary.

Thanks for your reply! If I'm not mistaken Guangdong have just implemented the 144 hour free transit policy? Could I double check this with you?

Thanks.

It still hasn't and there's no concrete schedule on how this will roll out. Don't get your hopes up for now.
