About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Mongolia to NZ via Beijing

Hi, I'm flying from Ulanbaatar, Mongolia to NZ via Beijing and are there for 60hrs so was planning on using the 72hr free transit . I have just checked our flights to NZ and it has a stop in Guangzhou for 1 hour to change planes. Is the 72 free transit still valid?
Thanks for your help.

You are no longer eligible for visa-free transit and must get a transit (type G) or change your itinerary.
