About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hours stay permit

I have a flight from Chicago to Hong Kong, stay Hong Kong for a day. Then I want to go to Shanghai for 2 days, and come back to Hong Kong for a week. After that, I will fly back from Hong Kong to JFK. Would I be able to get the 72 hours permit?

Of course not. Hong Kong-Shanghai-Hong Kong isn't a transit.
