About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Any changes...in 24 hour free transit policy?

I have ticket SYD-CAN-PEK-AMS, arrival at CAN is 19:00, departure from PEK is 10:55 next day. At Sydney Airport they told me there were changes last week and it is not possible to travel this routing without entry permit???

I haven't heard any changes on this policy, and I think you can enjoy the 24 hr direct transit if you travel like that. But if you are worried, you can apply for a transit G type for that beforehand. Just in case.

I am flying today so I really can't apply for visa. Unfortunately there ARE some changes beacuse I have been denied boarding and have to travel another way.

Timatic has been updated in the last week to reflect this new policy, which prohibits passengers transiting in Guangzhou to leave the sterile transit zone if their transit time is under 24 hours. Hence the multi-stop domestic transit is also banned by Guangzhou immigration.
