About:China Family Reunion Visa

Does my son need a visa? Does he need finger prints because he is a minor?

My dad became very sick, and I need to take care of him for a long time,my place is too Small. Therefore. My son ( American) will travel to China to live with my wife(Chinese) for a while he will stay there with his mom and go to primary school as well.
Do I need to go with him to Chinese embassy in ny?( he will need to be absent from school ) or just me ,is enough?
I appreciate your help, thanks

Hi, your son needs to apply for an X type for that, and no finger prints are required. You can go to the Chinese embassy or the consulate to submit the application on your son's behalf, and he doesn't need to go there in person then. Don't worry!
