Transiting to Guangzhou for flight to Philippines

Hi,

I am a Philippine passport holder and was wondering if I would be eligible for the 24H direct transit. I will be coming from Hongkong to Guangzhou through train to catch my flight back to the Philippines. Do I need to secure anything for the 24H direct transit? Or would they automatically admit me to Guangzhou once I show them my confirmed plane ticket to the Philippines?

Thanks!

Hi, Kris, you will be eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou. You can go there directly by bringing your passport and onward ticket for that. But if you want to leave the airport, you may be required to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at Guangzhou airport. Afterwards, you can leave the airport to explore the city.

Guangzhou no longer allows transit passengers to leave the airport.
