I'm travelling from Hong Kong to Guangzhou by rail on 17/9/17. When & where to buy the ticket? Need tonbuy in advance or buy at the station before departure?

Both are OK, if you decide to book it in advance, you can do it online here. They will deliver the ticket to your hotel in HK. You can also buy it at the departure station as well. If the tickets are not available on your prefered ride, you may go to Shenzhen first by bus or MTR and then from shenzhen to Guamgzhou by rail.
