About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From Korea via Beijing and Guangzhou TO Australia

I am holding a Korean passport and My air ticket is as below.

Incheon(Korea) --> Beijing --> Guangzhou --> Melbourne(Australia)

I am not planning to travel to Beijing and Guangzhou (will stay at the airports)
Do I still need to apply for a single visa since I take a domestic airline (Beijing - Guangzhou) ?
Or Does the 72 hour Free Transit work for my trip?

Thanks

When you wanna use the 72h twov, just 1 stop within China is allowed, so you cannot use the 72 hour Free Transit in China. But if your total layover time in mainland China is less than 24 hours, you are eligible for 24 hr direct transit. No need to apply for a G type for that.
