About:China Visa

Type I need to apply

I am the Chef de Mission of the Sri Lanka team to Asia Masters Athletics (AMA)
Championships in Rugao. I am also a Vice President of AMA.
Please let me know, what type of visa I should apply and the documents I need to attach.

Hi, maybe you can apply for an F type for that. You need to prepare the relevant documents including your passport and copy of its data page, a fully filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, and an invitation letter from the AMA and an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit, financial support, and local company covering letter.

I am very happy you replied promptly.
The Chinese embassy in Colombo says we have to get Chinese Government approval to issue entry permit.
Rugao Org. Committee are trying to get the Government approval. They say I and other team officials have to apply for M type while the athletes around 250 should apply for L type.
Is this correct.
