Can use scan copy of my business invitation letter?

I need to apply urgently for Chinese business M as sending through express will take more time, so My agent said she will send me a scan copy of my Business invitation letter as soon she get it from the Government.
So I need to ask can I use the scan copy of it to apply it?? Can I get visa through scan copy of it? Or she need to send me the original one through express then can I apply?? Replies will be appreciated. Thanks
